Cupids’ Touch
CHAPTER 1.THE PROPOSAL
         Miranda Gunner was making dinner, Caesar salad and garlic bread, her favorite when all of a sudden, the phone started ringing! She quickly hurried over and answered the phone. “Hello?” “Hey baby! Merry Christmas!”It was her boyfriend, Jody Daniels. “Hi Jody!”  “Hey, I was wondering if you could meet me for dinner at Liberty’s. I have to ask you something important.” “Sure babe!” “Meet you there at about 7.” “Is that OK?”  ” Sure, whatever works for you!”  “Thanks!” She hung up, and put the salad in the fridge and the garlic bread in the pantry. Then, she rushed to her room and wriggled into her nice blue halter dress. She headed to the bathroom to curl her long, auburn hair, and put on her make-up. After 20 minutes of curling, applying, and wiping off, she grabbed her purse and started her Mercedes up. When she got to Liberty’s, Jody met her at the front door. “Hi baby!” “Come on, our table is probably ready!” When they got settled in, a waitress came and they ordered their drinks. “Hello, welcome to Liberty’s Diner, are you two ready to order your drinks?” Jody went first. “Uhh, I think I’ll go with sweet tea with lemon.” “Um, I think I’ll have that too.” After the waitress left, Jody and Miranda started to talk. “Ummm, Jody?” “Yeah, what’s up Miranda?” “ Didn’t you say you had something important to ask me?” “Oh, yeah, right.” “Thanks for reminding me.” Then he went down on one knee and held out a ring. “Miranda Gunner, you are the love of my life, and I want to be with you for the rest of my life.” “That’s why I wanted you to be here, so I could ask you this important question.” “Miranda Gunner, will you marry me?”
With tears in her eyes, she said, “Yes, I will marry you.”
Then the waitress came by and said “Oh, am I interrupting something?” Then they said “Oh!” “No, you aren’t interrupting anything; and we are ready to order.” After dinner and the proposal, Miranda went home. She showered, put on her pajamas, and brushed her teeth, which probably had a little bit of lettuce in them, because Jody was staring at them the whole night. Then she got in her warm, comfortable bed and prayed a long sweet prayer. Her prayer was “Thank you Dear Lord for this day you made and thank you for my boyfriend Jody, who proposed to me tonight, and please help me to sleep peacefully tonight. Amen.”







CHAPTER 2.LITTLE DETAILS
A few days later, Miranda was in her apartment, watching reruns of “Full House”, when Jody called. He said, “Hey Miranda, I was kind of thinking that we should start planning for the wedding, you know, getting the dress, the invitations, the cake, the menu, etc. “Oh yeah, we probably should start planning,” said Miranda. “I’ll meet you at Havana’s Bakery at 2:00, O.K.? ““K, see you there!” Miranda quickly turned off the TV. She ate some breakfast, got ready, then texted her best friend Maya. –Hey Maya, will u come w/ me 2 help me find my wedding dress?-
- Of course I will! Do u want me to tell Andrea and Monica?-
- Yeah, sure! I’ll tell my Mom, sister, and my aunt to come too! -    -Great! What time? -     - Umm, around 4:00, cause Jody and I are picking out the cake at 2:00. - O.K. see u there! -  Miranda put her phone down, and got in the car to go to Havana’s. When she got there, Jody was waiting for her near the patio. He said, “Are you ready?” Miranda said, “Oh, you bet I’m ready!” A few minutes after they went in, they had already tasted 18 cakes. “Here Miranda, try this carrot cake, its delicious!”
“No thanks, I’m allergic.” “Oh, alright, try this chocolate lava cake.” Oh my gosh, it’s amazing!” Do you want to get it?” ”Are you kidding, yes!!!” After that, Miranda got into her car and headed to Leila’s Wedding Dresses. When she came in, everyone was waiting for her. Maya, Andrea, Monica, her mom, sister, and  Aunt Kari. She must have tried on like, 20 dresses when she came to one dress that was absolutely stunning, drop dead gorgeous, when she tried it on, she felt like an angel wrapped in the softest silk. It was a sleeveless- mermaid style dress that looked like it was dipped in crystals it had so many.  Miranda immediately said, “I want this dress, I love it!”
Her family and friends said, “If you like the dress so much, then why don’t you buy it?! “But first, we need to know how much it is.” Miranda walked up to the cashier and said, “How much is this dress, ma’am?”  The lady said that dress is $5,000.00 ma’am. Miranda said, “Wow, are you guys willing to cut in on this dress?” “It’s 5 grand.” Everyone stared at Miranda, with their jaws open wide. Andrea stood up and said, “I could loan you about $500 Miranda.”  “Thanks”, said Miranda. Then Monica and Maya each offered to give her $800. After that, all of her family was giving her money like crazy. “There”, Miranda said, “That’s $5,000. While she was driving home she called Jody to tell him about dress shopping.  -“It was CHAOS!!!” - Really? – Oh yeah, but I finally found the perfect dress. – How much was it? – Oh, only 5 grand. – WHAT!!! – 5 grand?! – Yup, but it was worth it!! – I hope it will be! – OK, bye Jody. – Bye Miranda. –

Chapter 3.Heartbreak

      A while later, Miranda was eating leftover Caesar salad with garlic bread, when she got a call. When she turned her phone on, she saw that it was from Jody. She answered it, and she heard Jody talking. She said, “Oh, he must have just accidentally called me.” She was about to hang up, when she heard a conversation that was very interesting. “Hey Jody, when is your sister Miranda Gunner coming over?” “Oh, don’t worry baby, she’ll be here soon.” “Ok, if you say so.” “Oh, what did you want me to come over for again?” “Something about an important question?” Oh yeah, thanks for reminding me.” “You know how we’ve been dating for 8 months. “Yeah. ” “Well, Angelina Giotto, I love you with all my heart and I know you love me right back, so will you marry me?” Oh my goodness, YES!!!” Miranda was stunned, shocked, flabbergasted. She was heartbroken. She immediately hung up, and ran to her bed, and cried her heart out. The next day, she texted Jody to meet her at the park. When he got there, she greeted him warmly and asked him about the wedding. “So Jody, do you have everything for the wedding?” “Umm, let’s see.” “Do you have the cake?” “Check.” “Menu?” “Check.” “Guest list?” “Check.” “What about Angelina Giotto?!” “What?” “Don’t play dumb with me Jody Daniels; I know that you are a dirty backstabbing two-timer!!!” “I don’t know what you are talking about, Miranda?!” “I know that you have been dating Angelina Giotto for 8 months now, and you proposed to her!!!” “OK, so maybe that is true, but Miranda, I still love you.” ”No you don’t, you love Angelina!!!” “Fine!!” “If you really think so, then goodbye!!” “Oh, Jody?” “What?!” “Say hi to your fiancé’ for me, will ya?!” “Don’t count on it!” “I won’t!!!” Miranda ran away crying, she retreated to her apartment, where she would stay for several weeks, weeping.

Time Warp

Hey guys, sorry i haven't posted anything in like 2-3 years.  :()  oops... So just wanted to give you guys an update on everything. I'm officially "blowing off the cobwebs" and posting some more stuff! YAY!!!!!!!! I'm a MUCH better author than I was at age 9, now 11. Thanks to my AC Language Arts class, I'm off to a better start! As you can probably see, I redesigned my blog so it would adjust to my liking more. OK, so now to the update. Oh, I'm supposed to be talking about me right??? OK, here goes... I'm 11 years old, I'm in 6th grade at Lovinggood Middle School,I'm pretty awesome, I have medium/long hair, still got those mood eyes, pretty much the same personality, but a little more mature... I guess that's it!!!!!!! The Secret Passage

One day, when World War II was going on, a carriage passed by on the road to Canterbury.  In the carriage were four people, a mother, a brother Michael, and a sister Terra.  "Are we there yet?" asked Michael.  Terra was worried about her father who served as an Elglish soldier in teh Air Force in World War II.  As Terra thought about her Father she fell asleep.  "Wake up Terra! Wake up! Where here!" shouted Michael as the carriage stopped at uncle Thomas' house.  He gave them sugar sticks and said "Let's take a look at your rooms."  Michaels room was bright orange with toy planes hanging down from the ceiling.  Terra's room was light purple with a chandelier hanging down.  Terra's bed had a silk canopy.  Michael's room had a bunk bed.  Uncle Thomas introduced Terra to her maid Layla.  "I like your cat." said Layla shyly.  Lucky Terra's black cat was peeping out from behind Terra.  Terra looked longingly at the garden.  Uncle Thomas said she could spend the day in it after lunch but lunch seem so far away to Terra.  For lunch Terra, Michael, Mother and Uncle Thomas had turkey sandwiches, egg salad, caeser salads and for dessert they had cinammon cakes.  Lucky had cream and milk for lunch.  After lunch Terra went to the garden and picked flowers and sketched.  Just then Layla came running to Terra and said "Terra! Terra! I need to tell you something! I found a secret passage that's in the basement.  Meet me there in 5 minutes."  As Terra entered the basement a bright light startled her.  It was Layla.  "Are you ready?" asked Layla.  "Yes" answered Terra.  Layla opened the door and they went into the secret passage.  It was dark but Layla's lantern shone brightly.  Terra saw another bright light ahead.  She thought it was someone else but when she got closer she saw it was a garden.  Terra and Layla spent hours in the garden.  they got back just in time for dinner.  At dinner they feasted on ham, chowder and roasted vegetables.  For dessert they had chocolate cake.  The next morning when Terra woke up she could smell coffee and heard bacon sizzling.  She jumped out of bed, got dressed and ran downstairs.  For breakfast had coffee, bacon, toast, eggs and biscuits.  During breakfast Mother said that she and Michael got jobs in London.  Terra said "Where will I stay?"  Mother said "you will live here with Uncle Thomas."  After Terra's thing had been transported over to her new house she got settled in.  Everyday after lunch Terra and Layla spent time together in the secret passage and they became great friends.

My Mom

My mom Kristy means so much to me so I wanted to wish her a HAPPY BIRTHDAY on January 10th!!!   If I lost her then I would be sadder then you could ever imagine. Her favorite color is purple. I love her more than anything.  She is the best mom in the universe because she cooks for me, teaches for me, and sometimes cleans for me.  Mom, if you are reading this then I want to tell you this… you are the most beautiful, talented, funny mom I ever knew. You are a loved and cherished mom. You are #1!

One of my favorite things about my mom is that she encourages me to do new things. She encouraged me work a community makeover where I gave away sweets and did face painting to the less fortunate.  

Tropical Water

The Tropical breeze was the first thing that told 10 year old Jeniffer Sanders that they had made it to Jamaica! Kreg and Rodney Jeniffer’s 5 year old brothers said at the same time, ”I wonder if we will see any sharks!” A few hours before the MERMAID VOYAGER landed, Jennifer’s mom said, what do you kids want to do before we land? Go pack, take a nap, or swim? SWIM!!! Shouted Kreg and Rodney. How about you Jeniffer? Oh, I think I’ll stay here and enjoy the scenery said Jeniffer. Alright, sweetheart, said Mom. Yeah, alright Jeniffer, stay here and be a lazybones, said Rodney. Rodney Allen Sanders! That is no way to talk to your sister, says Mom. Say you’re sorry then go to your room and don’t come out until dinner. But Mom, I’ll miss out on swimming! Oh fine, said Rodney. Sorry Jeniffer. For dinner there was steamed halibut. Ewe, this stuff tastes gross and salty, said Kreg. But Rodney was hungrily digging into his meal. Well, I see that someone likes their dinner, exclaimed Mom. Jeniffer just finished, said Kreg. Speaking of Jeniffer, where did she go asked Mom? At that very moment a huge wave crashed into the ship. The twins screamed. After that they heard a distant cry, it said HELP somebody! Girl overboard! Just like that Mom, Kreg, and Rodney were pulling Jeniffer up onto the ship. What happened? Asked the captain Mac RewDolf. I…I fell overboard while I was going to my cabin, sir, said Jeniffer. Well why didn’t you just run back to the dining hall?  he said. Because I was to scared sir. Go to your cabin, Jeniffer. Yes sir, said Jeniffer. Meanwhile, everyone was having a party while Jeniffer snuck out of her cabin and left to go to the party.  But unfortunately, the punch bowl fell right beside her. Then the captain came over and said well, well if it isn’t Mrs. Jeniffer Sanders. Aren’t you supposed to be in your cabin? No, said Jeniffer. Alrightie then, come join the party he said. When the party ended it was almost 10:30. That night it was storming very badly, but Jeniffer was sleeping very soundly with a smile on her lips.
